Kenya becomes the 59th party to the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products. The ratification comes at a time when the world is battling the covid-19 pandemic which wrecks more havoc among tobacco users- according to latest health studies.
This is a bold step in support of tobacco control and the fight against the deadly effects caused by tobacco use in the country.
Kenya, like other countries continue to suffer from the devastating effects of tobacco which kills over seven million people every year world-wide.
